Individuals, Businesses Use Pheromones as Secret Weapon for Success.
October 12, 2006 -- Ever since they were discovered by researchers, pheromones have been an exciting prospect for those looking to attract the opposite sex. Pheromones are naturally occurring chemical compounds found in insects, animals, and humans. When pheromones are secreted, they cause arousal and attraction in either men or women, depending on the type of pheromone used. Because of this effect, pheromones have been marketed as powerful perfumes and colognes that can aid in finding a mate or increasing the sexual desire in an existing relationship.
Recently, however, people have been finding more and more uses for pheromones. According to Maria Gorodnitsky, director of public relations for Online Future Inc, a major distributor of pheromone products, customers have used pheromones to boost their business as well. For instance, a pair of customers, who own a restaurant, use pheromones on the chairs of their establishment. They have found that when they use pheromones in this way, patrons seem to spend more money. They also found that their waiters and waitresses seemed to get better tips when wearing pheromones.
Gorodnitsky also cites another client who started wearing pheromones when showcasing houses for his real estate business. According to the client, his sales increased by 40%. Says Gorodnitsky, "Pheromones are the most primal form of communication, and can at times replace vocal communication." This appears to be true not only in the case of sexual attraction, but in business affairs as well.
